Chocolate Cinnamon Bars

ingredients
2 cups flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/3 cup sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs, one of which is to be separated
1 package (16 ounce size) semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup nuts, chopped
directions
Mix and sift flour, baking powder, 1 cup sugar and 3 t. cinnamon. Add butter or margarine, shortening, 1 egg and 1 egg yolk. Blend well with wooden spoon or with mixer on low speed.
Turn into a lightly greased 15 x 10" jelly roll pan. Spread evenly with spatula. Beat egg white slightly and brush over mixture.
Combine remaining 1/3 cup sugar, 1 t. cinnamon, chocolate morsels and nuts. Sprinkle over top. Bake 350 degrees F for 25 minutes.
Cool. Cut into bars.
