Fluffy will love these homemade, cheesy cat treats. Bonus: they freeze well.

3/4 cup white flour
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
5 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup cornmeal
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
Combine the cheddar and parmesan cheeses with the yogurt in a bowl.
Add the flour and cornmeal and mix well until a dough forms.
Knead the dough into a ball and roll out with a rolling pin to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut the dough into one-inch sized pieces and place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes at 325 degrees F or until the treats are just firm. Let cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes then remove the treats to a wire rack to cool completely before feeding to your cat.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

I followed the suggestion to cut the bake time down - I baked them for only 15 minutes. I also cut them into squares instead of long sticks like in the picture. They came out soft and my cat liked them!

The cats wouldn't go near them so I added about 2 tbsp of chicken broth and threw them in the oven for another 2 mins and they loved them!

Well they don't taste too bad for people but they are definitely NOT soft cat treats. My cat loves anything with cheese in it and he was leery about the texture of these. Also, I only baked the third pan for half the time and that still seemed to be too long.

Easy to make but definitely doesn't come out "soft". Comes out hard as a rock and my cats wouldn't go near it.
