The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
3 pounds chicken pieces
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon oil
1 can (14.5 ounce size) Cajun-style stewed tomatoes
1 medium green bell pepper, cut in strips
1 stalk celery, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
directions
Sprinkle chicken with thyme; salt and pepper to taste. In large skillet, brown chicken in oil 15 minutes; drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Uncover and cook over medium-high heat until thickened and chicken is done.

Such a nice, simple recipe! The only thing we did different was add some diced onion. If you would like more of a stewed chicken feel use extra tomatoes.
