1 1/2 pound pork steak, cut into strips
2 tablespoons oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
1 can (4 ounce size) mushrooms, drained
1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
rice or noodles, cooked


Brown pork in oil in skillet. To remove excess fat drain on paper towels.

Place pork strips and all remaining ingredients in crock pot for 6 to 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high.

Serve over noodles or rice.

Oven method: Place in a greased casserole dish and baked for 2 hours at 350 degrees F.

Mine is simmering in the Crockpot.
One of my Daughters does not like mushrooms. I put buttons in so she can pick them out.
Any good recommendations for a mushroom substitute???

Quick and very Easy....My husband and my son loved it..... it's simple yet so yummy....i'd definitely cook this recipe again....

I've made this several times. I'd never cooked with pork steak before and this was the recipe I chose to try it out. It is very, very good! The pork steak comes out wonderfully tender.
