The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

SALAD
6 new potatoes, unpeeled & dice
6 ounces uncooked rainbow rotini
8 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped green onions
DRESSING
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
directions
In a large saucepan, bring 10 cups of water to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-high. Add potatoes; cook 3 minutes.
Add pasta; cook potatoes and pasta an additional 10 to 12 minutes or until tender. Drain.
In a large bowl, combine cooked potatoes, rotini, and all remaining salad ingredients.
In small bowl, combine dressing ingredients; blend well.
Add to salad; toss to coat. Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours or until serving time.

It's delicious and a new spin on a potato salad. I have made it several times for a pot luck and the pot has always been empty.
