30-60 minutes
ingredients
1 egg
1 cup light sour cream or plain low-fat yogurt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 can (1 pound size) pear halves, drained and patted dry with paper towels
2 tablespoons seedless raspberry jam
CRUMBLE TOPPING
3/4 cup uncooked quick or old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons cold butter or margarine, cut in small pieces
directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Have ready a 9- to 10-inch deep-dish pie plate.
In a medium-size bowl, whisk egg, sour cream, sugar, flour and vanilla until well blended.
Fill hollow of each pear half with 1/2 teaspoon jam. Arrange pears jam-side down in 1 layer of ungreased pie plate.
Pour sour-cream mixture evenly over pears to cover. Bake 15 minutes until custard just starts to set.
Meanwhile make topping: Mix oats and brown sugar in a small bowl.
With pastry blender or fingertips, cut or rub in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over custard. Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer until bubbly and topping is lightly browned.
Cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature, or chilled.

Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
