ingredients
2 teaspoons slivered almonds
3 medium ripe pears, chopped
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon margarine
2 tablespoons regular oats, uncooked
directions
Place almonds in a custard cup. Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and microwave at HIGH for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until almonds are roasted; set aside.
Combine pears, lemon juice, and almond extract in a medium bowl, tossing well. Divide among 6-ounce custard cups or individual baking dishes; set aside.
Combine flour and sugar; cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in oats and reserved almonds. Divide among custard cups.
Microwave at HIGH for 6 minutes or until pears are tender, rotating cups after 3 minutes.
