- #122398
ingredients
1 package meat or cheese filled tortellini
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup bread crumbs
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 small onion, chopped
4 teaspoons flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon dried basil
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cup frozen peas
directions
In large pot of boiling salted water, cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain well and transfer to greased 8 cup shallow casserole.
Meanwhile, in large skillet, melt butter. Transfer 1 tbsp. to a small bowl and stir in bread crumbs, set aside.
Add garlic and onion to skillet, cook over medium heat, stirring often, for 4 minutes, or until onion is softened. Sprinkle with flour and cook, stirring, for 1 minute with three quarters of the basil, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
Remove from heat and stir in mozzarella, cottage cheese and Parmesan until smooth. Pour over tortellini in casserole. Rinse peas under hot water, gently stir into casserole. Stir remaining basil into bread crumb mixture, sprinkle over casserole.
Bake, uncovered, in 375 degrees F oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.

This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

Very easy to make. It's cooking now. But directions forgot to tell you when to add milk. It should be after you have add flour. Smells delicious I did sneak a tortellini before I put it in oven. Tasted great!
