Easy Cream Of Corn Soup

ingredients
2 tablespoons minced onion
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14.75 ounce size) cream-style corn, PLUS"PLUS" means this ingredient in addition to the one on the next line, often with divided uses
1 can (8.75 ounce size) cream-style corn
3 cups milk or half-and-half
salt and pepper to taste
directions
Saute onion in butter in a saucepan over medium heat until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth.
Stir in corn, bring to a boil and boil 1 minute. Stir in milk and heat thoroughly, do not boil. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Process in container of electric blender until smooth, if desired. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.
