Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

2 1/2 cups milk
1 can (14.75 ounce size) cream-style corn
1 can (10.75 ounce size) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 3/4 cup frozen corn
1 cup frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
1 cup cubed fully cooked ham
1 large onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
salt and pepper to taste
Combine all the ingredients in the crock pot and stir gently to combine.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6 hours or until heated through.
Serve hot.

Make your mornings a little less hectic with these overnight breakfast recipes. Prep the night before and enjoy a warm, comforting meal in the morning.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

This is the third year I have used this recipe for my annual fall soup party. It is easy to assemble and NO ONE will realize that the only chopping/preparation is the onion! Even the ham can be purchased pre-diced if necessary. This is a great "quick" soup before you leave for work and the family can eat as soon as they get home. Try it, you'll like it!

Have to say I was a little skeptical when I put Cream of mushroom condensed soup in corn chowder, but this is one of the best chowders I have ever had. Great job with the recipe!!!
