ingredients
1 container (16 ounce size) kefir cheese or labneh
6 ounces half and half
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
2 serrano peppers, stemmed, seeded and diced very finely
3/4 cup finely minced onion
GARNISH
1 ball Shanklish cheese
crushed dried mint, to taste (optional)
diced tomatoes
kalamata olives
olive oil, to taste
toasted pita chips, for dipping
directions
Whip labneh with half-and-half, salt and pepper until smooth. Taste and add more seasoning if needed. Stir in minced serranos and onion.
Garnish with grated Shanklish cheese, to taste, and seasonings such as crushed mint or Zahtar, if desired.
Serve, topped with diced tomatoes and Kalamata olives and drizzled with olive oil if desired. Accompany the dip with toasted pita chips.
