If you've never had (or heard of) kugel, you might be thrown off by the idea of cinnamon and sugar with egg noodles. But those who know, know: the sweet, creamy layers of noodle kugel are a thing of beauty.

4 cups uncooked egg noodles
1/4 cup butter, melted
5 eggs
2 cups small-curd cottage cheese
2 cups sour cream
2 cups milk
1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 cup sugar, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain. Toss with butter and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs for 8-10 minutes. Beat in the cottage cheese, sour cream, milk, cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir in noodles.
Transfer to a greased 13-inch x 9-inch x 2-inch baking dish. Combine the cinnamon and remaining sugar. Sprinkle over noodle mixture.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 55-60 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Help!! This Kugel is absolutely delicious, but each time I've made it, it is watery. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Help is appreciated!
