Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

This was great and easy. (I reserve 5's for only the AWESOME) I couldn't find anything called 5-spice powder so I used powdered ginger, wasabi powder, and mustard powder. I used about a 1/4 tsp of each for 2 servings though I think I'd double that next time to add a little more zing. I skipped the cilantro because we don't like it.
