Grilled Cheese And Tomato Sandwich With Miso

ingredients
1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, Swiss or Gouda)
1 tablespoon white miso
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon minced parsley
10 slices whole-grain bread
2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
butter or margarine for frying
directions
Miso is available at many food specialty and natural-food stores.
Make spread: Combine cheese, miso, onion, parsley and garlic, mixing well. Spread on one side of half the bread slices. Add slice of tomato and top with second slice of bread.
Melt small amount of the butter or margarine in skillet as needed; cook each side of sandwich over medium heat until cheese melts. Serve immediately.
