Turnip And Cheese Bake

ingredients
1 1/2 pound turnips, pared and sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper, to taste
1 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
snipped parsley
paprika
directions
Cook turnips in boiling salted water until tender and drain.
In a saucepan melt butter, blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk and stir until thickened. Reduce heat, stir in cheese until melted. Combine cheese sauce and turnips.
Turn into a 1 quart casserole. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and paprika. Serve hot.
