16 ounces dried black-eyed peas, rinsed and sorted 1 medium onion, diced 1/2 cup diced ham 1 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic 1 teaspoon seasoned salt black pepper, to taste water, as needed
directions
Soak the peas overnight in cold water. Drain well and add to the crock pot.
Add the onion, ham, garlic, seasoned salt, and black pepper as desired. Add enough water to just cover the peas. Stir well.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 8 hours or until the peas are tender.
