  1. EmilyW REVIEW:

Love crockpot recipes where I can literally throw everything in there, turn it on, and forget about it. We decreased the onion, used 1/2 water, 1/2 low sodium chicken broth, and ham hocks. It turned out great. I cooked in our Pampered Chef Rock Croc and did 2 hours on high and only 6 hours on low and they were perfect!

  2. Candy REVIEW:

WOW, I have always had trouble making black-eyed peas like my MamMaw, but this one nailed it. I added 1 clove of garlic and a couple of pieces of pork neck along with a few pieces of salt pork, and left off celery (not a fan). I will be cooking all my dried peas in my slow cooker. Thanks

  3. Guest Foodie REVIEW:

Terrific! just the way I remember them from my childhood. I'm. 77 and my Mom is 104 (yep!) and she made a pot for New Years and they were so good I'm making a pot for tonight!

    swaite REVIEW:

Super flavor! Used smoked pork and sauteed onions in butter. Cooking time for me was quite different -perhaps the type of slow cooker I used. 2 hours on high and 1 hour on low. I will definitely make again.

  8. sallybrown REVIEW:

I made this exactly as directed and it turned out very good. The peas were very tender. I made it for a bbq we had last weekend and everyone liked it very much.
