- #26253

2-5 hrs
ingredients
3 pounds pork loin roast
1 pound Polish sausage
1 large bag deli sauerkraut
brown sugar to taste
1 large onion
salt and pepper, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
directions
In heavy pot, brown roast and sausage meat you've cut into 2 lengths on all sides in small amount of oil. Put kraut in same pot with brown sugar, chopped onion and dry seasonings. Cook on medium-high heat stirring until kraut starts to brown.
Cover pot and place in a 350 degrees F oven. Bake until meat is very tender, about 1-1/2 hours. Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes. Remove meat from pot.
Slice up pork roast and lay around on side of large platter, place sausages around the other side of platter. Serve kraut in the center with maybe a sprinkle or two of Hungarian paprika.
It is good served with fresh green beans cooked with bacon, onions and small new red potatoes. Add a little fresh or dried dill and salt and white pepper for seasoning.
Serve a good Italian Bread, warmed and cut in thick slices with fresh butter on the side.

Ranking #1 in nearly every "favorite cookie" poll, the chocolate chip cookie is pretty much the go-to cookie of choice for both kids and grownups alike.
