Short Ribs In Beer

ingredients
3 pounds beef short ribs
2 medium onions, sliced
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 can (12 ounce size) beer
directions
Preheat the broiler.
Place the short ribs on a broiler pan and place in oven about 5-inches from the heat source. Broil for 10-15 minutes, turning as needed, until browned on all sides. Transfer the ribs to a baking pan.
Reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees F.
Spread the sliced onions over the ribs in the baking pan. Sprinkle with the dry onion soup mix then evenly pour the beer over all.
Cover the pan with foil and bake at 325 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours or until the ribs are tender.
