Hungarian Goulash with Noodles

ingredients
1 pound beef, cut into small cubes
2 medium onions, chopped
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar
6 tablespoons ketchup
1 1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons flour
directions
Brown meat, add onions. Combine mustard, paprika, sugar, salt, Worcestershire, vinegar, and ketchup. Add to meat with 1 cup water. Stir, cover, cook over low heat until meat is tender. Blend flour with 1/2 cup water; add to meat mixture, stirring until thickened. Serve over noodles.

I have been making this recipe for 25 years in crockpot cooked all day on low and it is always a hit--and so easy. I use stew beef--the vinegar acts to tenderize. As an authentic goulash (soup) but is a tasy dish and very easy to make. Serve with noodles of your choice.

I have been looking for this recipe forever!!! My Father and Grandmother are hungarian and I grew up eating goulash but could not remember how to make it...And I would like to make it for my kids... I never remnembered it being made with potato which is the way alot of recepies on the net are written so just a HUGE thank you to whoever posted this recipe!! How goulash SHOULD be made!
