Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

No shortage of uses for this delicious spread, and it's easy enough to make with kids. Throw it on toast, throw it on pancakes, throw it straight on a spoon.

1/4 cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar, or to taste
Add the butter to a small saucepan over low heat. When melted, stir in the cocoa powder and cook, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and set aside to cool. When cool, stir in the cream cheese and sugar. Mix until smooth.
Transfer the chocolate spread to an airtight container. Chill well before using. Will keep for 3-5 days refrigerated.

Delicious recipes for red velvet cakes, cupcakes, and cheesecakes.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
