The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
6 cups shredded Monterey jack cheese
3/4 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup cubed cooked ham
7 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1 tablespoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
directions
Place half of cheese in a buttered 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
Saute mushrooms and onion in the butter in large skillet until tender. Spoon vegetable mixture over cheese. Sprinkle ham over vegetable mixture and top with remaining cheese.
Combine eggs, milk, flour, seasoned salt and chopped parsley. Beat well. Pour egg mixture evenly over cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until set.
