Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

under 30 minutes
ingredients
1 1/2 pound ground beef
1 cup soft breadcrumbs
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup minced green onions
1 egg
2 teaspoons salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
directions
Combine beef, breadcrumbs, water, onions, egg, 1 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix lightly.
Shape into meatballs. Place on a jelly-roll pan. Bake in a hot oven (400 degrees F) for 15 minutes, or until browned.
Meanwhile, heat butter in a medium-size saucepan. Add flour and cook until bubbly. Remove from heat and gradually stir in milk until smooth.
Return to heat and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in dill and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt. Spoon over meatballs.
Serve with hot buttered noodles, if you wish.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
