Ranking #1 in nearly every "favorite cookie" poll, the chocolate chip cookie is pretty much the go-to cookie of choice for both kids and grownups alike.

I was introduced to Gifta by my daughter's Swedish in-laws but I omit the butter because I'm vegan. It's surprisingly good because of the contrast of salty crackers, sweet/tart cranberry sauce and silky rich coconut cream. I know people who serve it as a side dish, but I prefer desserts that aren't terribly sweet.
Love gifta, but have trouble with 2 cups of water being too much and cranberries too soft.

Be careful when making the layers - a neater layer means it will look better from the sides and top!

This dish is a perennial favorite for my family at thanksgiving, and looks best in a clear glass bowl! yummy!
This recipe is much better with plain (leave out the butter) crushed graham crackers. Kids love this dish.
