A different kind of burger! Ready in 30 minutes or less. A perfect lunch or dinner recipe.

2 eggs
1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 tablespoon horseradish, drained
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 pinch salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
13 ounces canned water-packed tuna, well drained
2 green onions, minced
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 whole-wheat hamburger buns, toasted if desired
Beat the eggs in a bowl. Add the bread crumbs, dill, horseradish, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Add the tuna, onions, and celery. Stir so the tuna flakes and is well mixed. Shape the tuna mixture into 1/2-inch thick burgers and set aside.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the burgers and cook for 10 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time. The burgers should be golden brown and firm when cooked.
Place the burgers on the buns and top with any desired condiments. Serve immediately.

I pulsed the celery and green onion in a mini chopper first to make sure they'd be finely diced otherwise I was afraid the tuna burgers might fall apart easier. They stayed together very well and had lots of flavor. I didn't think I'd like the dill and horseradish amounts but they ended up being perfect amounts. I didn't have alfalfa sprouts so I omitted that.

Awesome!!! I made these with green beans instead, and dijon honey mustard because the market was already closed. It turned out to be so tasty, and honestly similar to a crab or seafood cake. I'll be making them again tonight!

i made these tonight for dinner. the funny thing is, the seasoning made these taste like they were made of ground turkey, not tuna. not a bad recipe overall, but not what i expected.
