Apple-Mallow Yam Bake

ingredients
2 medium apples, sliced
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cans (17 ounce size) yams, drained
1/4 cup margarine
2 cups miniature marshmallows
directions
Toss apples and nuts with combined brown sugar and cinnamon. Alternate layers of apple mixture and yams in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Dot with margarine.
Cover; bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes. Top with marshmallows. Broil until lightly browned.

Discovered this recipe last thanksgiving. Everybody loves it. Won't wait for another whole year though to make it again.

Served with Thanksgiving dinner, and it was great. Apples were yummy with the yams.
