Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

This dip is AWESOME! Made the dip and the chips for the holiday weekend. I was going to double it to make sure I had enough. Glad I didn't...it makes plenty. I filled 2 cool whip containers without doubling it. Was a super hit!! Will definitely make again.
