Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

Seasoned, grilled sausage and chicken are served atop salad greens with honey mustard salad dressing and garnished with delicious sweet-and-spicy nuts.

1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1/2 pound smoked Italian sausage links
6 cups mixed salad greens, torn
1/2 cup red bell pepper, cut in strips
1 cup honey mustard salad dressing
Melt butter in small skillet over medium heat. Stir in sugar and ground red pepper; blend well. Stir in nuts to coat. Cook and stir over medium heat 4-5 minutes or until nuts are lightly toasted. Remove from heat; cool completely.
Heat grill. Sprinkle cajun seasoning over chicken. Grill sausage and chicken over medium heat. Cook 10-15 minutes or until chicken is tender and juices run clear, turning once.
Cook sausage 15-20 minutes, turning frequently. Cut chicken into strips; cut sausage into 1/2" slices.
Line salad plates with greens and red bell pepper strips; arrange chicken and sausage on top. Sprinkle with spiced nuts. Serve with dressing.

I think I ate about half of the sweet-spicy walnuts before they even hit the salad. They were a really great finish to an already delicious salad. It's a hearty salad so it will suffice as a meal.
