ingredients

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 1/2 cups packaged brownie mix
1 package (2.75 ounce size) instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
2 eggs
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

directions

Lightly grease a 4-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup water and cocoa powder and bring to a boil.

In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and 1/2 cup water to form a batter. Spread batter in slow cooker; pour boiling mixture over batter. Cover; cook on high heat setting 1 1/2 hours. Turn off heat and let stand 30 minutes.

Serve warm topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

    This was a DISASTER. The amount of water used doesn't correspond to the amount called for. The recipes calls for 1 1/2 cups but only use 1 1/4 cups. The recipe calls for 2.75 pudding size package and the smallest size in the stores here is 3.9 If there is a specific brand that comes in that size perhaps that should be included in the recipe. I know it isn't Jello Instant Pudding. The edges, which were the only part that fully cooked in the time frame, didn't taste very good, and the middle was a gooey, uncooked mess. It was a total waste of time, energy and ingredients.

    Very fudgy and gooey and delicious. Scooped it out into bowls and drizzled with caramel sauce and topped with whipped cream.
