Banana Bread Jamaica

ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 large ripe bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup raisins, TOSSED WITH
1 teaspoon flour
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
directions
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, mix thoroughly.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
Mash the bananas and add them to creamed mixture, alternating with the dry ingredients, beating after each addition until the batter is thoroughly blended. Add raisins and nuts, stir the batter well.
Pour into a greased loaf pan (9" x 5" x 3") and bake at 350 degrees F (moderate) oven for approximately one hour.
