ingredients

2 1/4 cups egg noodles or other pasta
1/4 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley or chives
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

directions

Cook the egg noodles in boiling water as directed on the package. Drain well and place in a large bowl.

Add the Mozzarella, melted butter, Parmesan, parsley or chives, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix quickly to coat the noodles in the cheese and butter mixture.

Serve immediately.

recipe tips

Cook the pasta al dente to prevent it from becoming mushy when mixed with the cheese and butter.

Mix the ingredients quickly while the noodles are still hot to make sure the cheese melts evenly.

Add a squeeze of lemon juice or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for a zesty kick.

For a creamier version, you can substitute some of the butter with heavy cream or milk.

If you prefer a crispier texture, you can bake the cheesy buttered noodles in the oven at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes until golden brown on top.

Easy and good. An upgraded version of something my grandmother used to make years ago.
