It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.

Wish it said how much jelly to use. I stirred in about 1/4 cup but wasn't sure if it should be more or what. Also, the cooking directions really don't make sense - almost like it's written for the crock pot for the sake of using the crock pot. I fixed this dish the following way: made the meatballs and browned them. Added to crock pot. Sauteed the onions in same skillet and added to crock pot. Combined sauce ingredients and added to crock pot. Cooked it all on low for 4 hours. Turned out delicious. The point of this recipe really shouldn't be cooking the sauce so long but rather cooking the meatballs IN the sauce for that long.
