Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.

These crockpot turkey wings get a thick glaze of soy, vinegar, and chili sauce and a complement from crunchy green pepper and sweet pineapple chunks.

4 uncooked turkey wings
3 cups chicken bouillon or broth
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup chili sauce
1/2 green bell pepper, cut into strips
1 can (13.5 ounce size) pineapple chunks, drained
Separate wings at joints and discard tips. Place in crockpot with broth, celery and salt. cover and cook on LOW 4 to 6 hours or until tender.
Drain, saving 1 1/2 c. broth for sauce.
In large skillet combine cornstarch, brown sugar, 1 1/2 c. broth, vinegar, soy sauce and chili sauce. Cook and stir until thick and clear. Stir in green pepper and pineapple; simmer 2 minutes. Add cooked, drained wings. Bring to simmer. Serve over rice.

Used turkey legs instead of wings (they cooked in the crock in the same amount of time as directed so if you use wings you might want to check it earlier than stated). Loved the sauce and the legs were very tender.

The recipe is ok...it's definitely better on the second day. I would try it again. I did add a little honey to the sauce at the end to cut some of the vinegar. but it was ok.
