ingredients
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 beaten egg
2 tablespoons salad oil
1 cup milk
directions
Mix together dry ingredients. Combine egg, milk and salad oil. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Bake on a hot griddle until browned on each side and bubbles stop appearing.
* For thinner pancakes, add more milk. You can also add cinnamon, nutmeg or ginger at times for a different flavor.
