Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Slow Cooker Tuna, Potato, and Corn Chowder

ingredients
2 cups chicken broth
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup hot water
1 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 cup frozen whole-kernel corn, thawed
3/4 cup diced cooked potatoes
2 cans (6 ounce size) white tuna in water, drained and flaked
1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
2/3 cup instant potato flakes
directions
Spray a slow cooker container with butter-flavored cooking spray. In prepared container, combine chicken broth, mushroom soup, and water. Stir in dill weed and black pepper. Add corn, potatoes, and tuna. Mix well to combine.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours. Stir in evaporated skim milk and potato flakes. Re-cover and continue cooking on HIGH for 30 minutes. Mix well before serving.

My kids loved this and it was a perfect chowder for a cooler spring day - not too heavy, but not too light. I used vegetable broth rather than chicken broth and it was fine. It was very easy to make.
