ingredients
2 tablespoons margarine
1/4 cup onions, chopped
2 tablespoons mustard
1 can (16 ounce size) tomatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup molasses
1 pound ground beef
1 cup rice, uncooked
directions
Melt margarine in skillet, add onions and cook till tender, not brown. Add ground beef and half of salt. Brown beef breaking it in bits, while beef is browning.
Combine molasses and mustard, add beef mixture with tomatoes, adding salt. Gradually add rice, cover, reduce heat and simmer 25-30 minutes or till tender.

This was good! I drained the grease after browning the hamburger. Along with the cup of rice, I added 1 1/4 cups of water because I could see there wasn't going to be enough liquid to cook the rice (probably because I drained the grease). Next time I might try beef broth instead of water, for more flavor. I also added thinly sliced green peppers. I'll make it again. Thanks for the recipe.
Was really greasy. Next time I will drain the grease and add an extra cup or two of water. Other then that it was great.
