The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
White Peach Lemonade

ingredients
3 fresh white peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 cup water
1 cup ice cubes
directions
Place the peaches and sugar in a blender and puree. Place the lemon juice and water in a pitcher and add the strained, pureed peaches.
Pour into tall, ice-filled glasses.

I can't get white peaches very often but this is one of my favorite recipes when I can find them. This drink is so refreshing and my kids just love it. I did try it once with frozen white peaches and it was ok but fresh is definitely better.
