A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

How do you like your shakes, thin enough to drink through a straw or thick enough to eat with a spoon? The chocolate milkshake is a classic either way.
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 cup milk
4 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine the ice cream, milk, syrup, and vanilla in a blender. Process until mixed but still thick. Add more ice cream or milk depending on desired consistency.
Pour the chocolate shake into tall glasses. Serve as is or garnish with whipped cream, crushed cookies, chocolate sprinkles or other garnishes.
For the best flavor, choose a high-quality vanilla (or other flavor) ice cream.
Full-fat milk will give your shake a creamier texture, but you can use any type of milk based on your preference and dietary needs.
The chocolate syrup should ideally be a good quality one. Avoid those with high-fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors.
If you like a thicker shake, add more ice cream or reduce the amount of milk. If you prefer it thinner, do the opposite.
Shakes are best enjoyed immediately after they're made to maintain their creamy texture. Any leftovers should be stored in the freezer but consumed quickly as it won't maintain the same texture when thawed.
This recipe can easily be adapted for other flavors. Simply replace the chocolate syrup with strawberry or other flavored syrup, or just use vanilla extract for a vanilla shake.
To make a healthier version, consider using low-fat ice cream and milk, or even substituting some of the ice cream for a frozen banana.
