ingredients
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 can (12 ounce size) evaporated milk
1 tablespoon almond extract
6 bottles (2 liter size) lemon lime carbonated beverage
3 cartons (1/2 gallon size) vanilla ice cream
directions
In a pan, combine sugar and water. Stir constantly over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Add evaporated milk and almond extract. Let cool. Chill until ready to serve.
Combine milk mixture and lemon lime drink in punch bowl just before serving. Add ice cream; stir to break ice cream into small pieces. Add a sprinkle of sliced almonds on top of each serving.
