The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1 envelope (2-quart size) sweetened lime Kool-Aid drink mix
1 quart cold water
2 bottles (2-liter size) lemon-lime carbonated beverage, well chilled
1 package (16 ounce size) frozen mixed fruit
1 pint lime sherbet
directions
Combine the lime kool aid and water in a punch bowl and mix until blended. Add the frozen fruit and stir gently to break up any fruit that is stuck together.
Slowly pour in the lemon-lime beverage. Add scoops of the sherbet to the punch bowl. Serve immediately.
