ingredients
1 can (20 ounce size) crushed pineapple, undrained
2/3 cup sugar
1 package (3 ounce size) lemon gelatin powder
1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, softened
1 cup diced apples, unpeeled (use a combination of red and yellow)
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
lettuce leaves
directions
In a saucepan, combine pineapple and sugar. Bring to a boil and let boil for 3 minutes. Add gelatin and stir until dissolved.
Add cream cheese and stir until mixture is thoroughly combined. Cool.
Fold in apples, nuts, celery and whipped topping. Pour into 9" square pan. Chill until firm. Serve on lettuce leaves.
