ingredients

12 ounces dried chickpeas
5 cups water
1 ham hock
1 cup celery chopped
1 cup onion, diced
1/2 cup carrots, minced
1 cube beef bouillon
1 cube chicken bouillon
dill weed to taste
caraway seeds to taste
1 clove garlic, minced

directions

To make sure the beans are tender at the end of the cooking time, soak beans overnight, or boil on stove top for 10 minutes prior to adding them to the crock-pot.

Combine all ingredients in crock-pot. Cook on low 8 hours or until beans are tender.
