Meat Loaf With Stuffing

Stuffing
1 package (6 ounce size) seasoned stuffing mix
1 1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons butter
Meatloaf
1 1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork sausage
1 egg, beaten
1 slice bread, crumbled
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon minced onion
2 tablespoons steak sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Prepare stuffing mix according to package instructions, using water and butter above (not the amounts on the package). Fluff mixture lightly and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine meatloaf ingredients. Spread half of meat mixture in a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Spread stuffing evenly on top of meat mixture, patting down lightly. Spread remaining meat mixture over top of stuffing. Do not cover loaf pan.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until nicely browned. Drain off excess fatty liquid. Cool meat loaf for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
