Take an easy classic and make it even easier with a slow cooker! Meatballs and pasta sauce in the crock pot, thrown on toasted buns with a bit of melty mozzarella.
24 frozen pre-cooked meatballs
26 ounces spaghetti sauce
4 sub sandwich rolls, toasted or plain
6 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Place the frozen meatballs in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour the spaghetti sauce over the top.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3-5 hours or until the meatballs are heated through.
Using a spoon, scoop out meatballs and place them on submarine sandwich buns along with some of the sauce. Top the meatballs with the shredded cheese and serve.
Optional: you can place the cheese-topped sandwiches on a baking sheet and place under the broiler for a minute or two to melt the cheese.

Used the concept but using homemade ingredients - meatballs and sauce from scratch. Browned the meatballs but then let them finish cooking in the crock pot and cooked it for 6 hours.

Super easy dinner that the family loves! It's one of their favorites. I've also used barbecue sauce instead of spaghetti sauce just to change things up a bit.
