Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

ingredients
1 package yellow cake mix with pudding in the mix, plus ingredients to prepare
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
2 cups coarsely chopped and par boiled artichoke hearts
directions
Follow cake box directions. Then add spices and mix. Add the hearts and gently mix by hand so they do not break up to much.
