When you're throwing together fajitas, you need a good marinade. This zesty marinade has flavors from all over the map including soy sauce, Italian dressing, and honey that add loads of flavor to the chicken.

ingredients

1 cup Italian salad dressing
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 lime, juiced
1 tablespoon fajita seasoning
1 1/2 teaspoon seasoned meat tenderizer
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (pizza flakes)
1 ounce honey
1 teaspoon minced garlic (jar is OK)
2 dashes Louisiana hot sauce (or to taste)
1 handful fresh cilantro, mostly leaves

directions

Blend all ingredients in food processor and marinate chicken breasts at least several hours or preferably overnight. I pound boneless chicken breasts to even thickness and tenderize meat by punching small holes.

Grill about 8-10 minutes being careful not to overcook and toughen meat.

Warm extra marinade on the side for sauce or dipping.

  1. Guest Foodie REVIEW:

Wow! I have never bothered to write a review for any recipe, but had to speak up for this one. This is simply one of the best marinades I have ever used & my wife and I have been cooking for 25 years. You will not want your chicken grilled any other way. Fantastic!
