There is no added sugar, fat, or unnecessary preservatives in this wholesome recipe. It's a healthy and delicious way to start the day.

1 1/2 cup quick rolled oats
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
2/3 cup dates, chopped
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 cup orange juice
1 1/2 cup raw apples, shredded
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine the oats, flour, dates, walnuts, and salt in a large bowl until mixed. Stir in the orange juice and apples until all is incorporated.
Let stand for 10 minutes.
Press the mixture into an 8x8 baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cut into bars while warm. Serve hot for breakfast.

Took these breakfast bars to our 55+ neighborhood Saturday morning coffee. They were really enjoyed. I love them too.
