Lime Jello Salad

ingredients
6 ounces lime jello
1 cup boiling water
8 ounces cream cheese
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
8 ounces Cool Whip
1 large can mandarin oranges or crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup 7-up
1/2 cup chopped pecans
directions
Dissolve jello in boiling water and add cream cheese chunks and stir until dissolved (I use a hand mixer.)
Stir in vanilla, fruit, soda and chill until mixture begins to mound.
Fold in cool whip and transfer to 13x9 pan. Then chill 3-4 hours. Top with pecans.
