The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1 package (12 ounce size) lime Jell-O
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups boiling water
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 small Cool Whip, thawed
extra Cool Whip
chocolate curls
directions
Dissolve Jell-O and sugar in boiling water; add cold water. Measure out 1 c. and chill until slightly thickened. Pour remaining Jell-O into 8" square pan, and chill until firm.
Fold Cool Whip into thickened 1 c. Jell-O, then pour into a 4 c. bowl. Chill until firm.
To serve, unmold the bowl of Jell-O in center of a larger bowl. Cut the square pan of Jell-O into small cubes; place cubes around the creamy Jell-O mold.
Garnish with extra Cool Whip and chocolate curls if desired.
