1 box regular Crispix cereal
1/2 cup butter, not margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

directions

Melt butter in microwave. Add brown sugar, syrup and salt to melted butter and mix together. Microwave mixture for two minutes or just until it bubbles.

Put cereal in large clean brown paper grocery bag. Add baking soda to caramel mixture and stir. Pour caramel over cereal in bag and shake. Then microwave for one minute, 30 seconds. Shake. Repeat microwaving it for one minute, 30 seconds and shake it again.

Pour on cookie sheet to dry. Store in airtight container or ziplock bags.

    This is my favorite!!! I use lite syrup & add 1 tsp vanilla. Be SURE to spray your paper bag well with cooking spray to prevent sticking & SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE! That is the trick. I'm always being asked to bring it and for the recipe. Always share!
